Zine Process
For the Zine, we created a folded 24 page book with our Riso contact sheets as the back pages. The content of the book included information on the topic of incarceration and a National Mental Health Hotline and Substance Abuse Hotline. We played with different stroke patterns that reminded us of the locked cycle of imprisonment. Jimi and I passed InDesign files back and forth to make sure we collaborated equally on the Zine.Deliver Phase
Our Graphic Design Studio class was split into different sub committees such as exhibition layout, signage, promotion, and construction. I was on the signage committee which was tasked to use the vinylShow and Conclusion
Overall, I loved how vibrant and colorful our exhibition turned out and it was so fun to celebrate with my classmates, professor, and friends. After hours of shedding blood, sweat, and tears in the Risograph printing room and studio it was definitely worth it, however it was a shame our exhibition was only up for a night. Please read more about our process!
